A Cinderella Themed Wedding Ceremony

The story of Cinderella is a story of overcoming your fears and troubles to find love. If you feel your story is best expressed in this classic fairytale, we’ve got the perfect script for you right here.

If the wedding space and budget allow for props, consider creating a pumpkin looking carriage which the bride and groom can use to ride to and from the ceremony in. Consider a grand entrance for the bride, perhaps with a “glass slipper” moment.

The Ceremony

Officiant: “We gather here today to witness the union of [Groom’s Name] and [Bride’s Name]. Just as Cinderella found her prince, [Bride’s Name] has found her perfect match in [Groom’s Name]. I have to say, it wasn’t just the slipper that fit perfectly. Similar to the story of Cinderella, fate has brought this couple together in a way which we can all agree is just perfectly magical. “

Vows

The couple can write their own vows, but here are some ideas inspired by Cinderella:

Groom: “I remember the time I first set eyes on you. It was like the fairy godmother had cast a spell on me too. I promise to love you [Bride’s Name] as a prince would love his Cinderella; with passion, grace and tenderness for the rest of my days.”

Bride: “You’ve shown me that dreams can come true, just like in the stories. With you, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You are my prince charming and my rock of hope. I promise to love you with all my heart for the rest of my life.”

Ring Exchange

“These rings are symbols of your eternal love. Just as the slipper fit Cinderella perfectly, these rings fit your fingers perfectly. Just as the ring is a circle, so is my love for you – eternal. When you need a reminder of you love just look down at your rings and remember that you were made for eachother”

Officiant to Groom: Repeat after me as you slip this ring onto your beloved’s finger “I give you this ring as a symbol of my love. Just as the ring is a circle, so is my love for you – eternal. ”

Officiant to Bride: Repeat after me as you put this ring on your lover’s finger “I give you this ring as a symbol of my love. Just as the ring is a circle, so is my love for you – eternal. ”

Pronouncement

So now, by the power vested in me by American Marriage Ministries, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
