A La La Land Inspired Wedding Ceremony

For the fans of this Los Angeles Love Story we’ve created a ceremony script that you can take inspiration from for your big day. Even if you don’t want to base the whole wedding ceremony on the La La Land movie, you can use parts of it in your ceremony. Enjoy the view of the beautiful LA Skyline as you slow dance with the baby of your dreams.

Hollywood Sign in LA Hills

An ideal location for the ceremony would be a rooftop or hilltop venue, with a city skyline as the backdrop. It doesn’t even have to be LA! The atmosphere should be dreamy, romantic, and filled with a touch of Hollywood magic.

Introduction

Officiant:

“We gather here today to celebrate the love story of [Groom’s Name] and [Bride’s Name]. A love story as magical and unpredictable as a dream. Their journey together is a symphony of laughter, dreams, and endless possibilities.”

“Like Mia and Sebastian, they’ve found in each other a partner who inspires and challenges them to reach for the stars.”

Vows

Groom: “You’re the city of stars I never knew I was searching for. With you, every day is a new adventure.”

Bride: “You’re the missing piece to my puzzle, the melody that completes my song. With you, I feel like I can do anything.”

Officiant:

“And now, let’s talk about these two. They’ve chased dreams, faced challenges, and come out of it all stronger together. They’ve proven that love, like a good jazz improvisation, requires rhythm, harmony, and most importantly a strong belief in the human soul”

Ring Exchange

“These rings are like the perfect notes in a melody, completing each other. They symbolize the eternal bond you share.”

Officiant:

“And so, with hearts full of hope and dreams, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”

Unity Ceremony

A symbolic act like planting a small tree or releasing balloons can represent the couple’s shared future.

Closing

“May your love story be as magical and unforgettable as the city lights that surround us. Here’s to you both, and to the endless possibilities that await.”

-Bernard King
