Ideas for your Springtime Wedding

Are you planning on getting married in spring? This is a wonderful time of year to tie the knot. Everything in nature is slowly coming back to life. The little flowers are poking up through the grass as the last patches of snow melt away. There’s a fresh energy in the air, and an extra spring in your step — (no pun intended). It’s hard to imagine any better time of year to gather family and friends together to celebrate love. Here we’ve compiled some ideas for a springtime wedding ceremony.

Seed Paper Wedding Invitations

If you want to get creative with your wedding invitations, send out little spring seed packages along with your invite. Your guests can plant the seeds, as a representation of new beginnings and the expectations of love.

Flowery Wedding Arch

If you are planning on having a wedding arch, adding some extra touches of spring beauty could be a great way to complete the ceremony space. Flowering cherry blossom branches, forsythia or dogwood sprigs create a stunning and colorful backdrop for your wedding photos.

Floral Drinks

Opening up your bar with a mix of flowery cocktails is a great way to bring the beauty of spring into the small details of your wedding. You could decorate the drinks with fresh mint sprigs, or even non edible flowers like periwinkles and crocuses.

Flower Petal Confetti

Instead of using traditional confetti, consider switching it up and using some fresh flower petals. It’s also a much more sustainable and sweeter smelling form of celebration.

Other Natural Deco

Even if you are having an indoor ceremony, you can gather different natural elements to place tastefully around the ceremony space. A pretty little moss garden with a small pool of water and spring flower decorations will help bring the energy of spring into the ceremony space. You could even add some small baby ducks or bunnies to the display, if it’s within your means.

Floral Prints for Bridesmaids

Maybe the bridesmaids could all dress in spring-themed floral print dresses. Imagine all the beautiful different colors and styles! Different shades of green and light blue are great spring-like colors. Otherwise pastel oranges, yellows and greens and purples are also great colors to match the bursting colors of springtime flowers.

Instruments for Spring Weddings

For the wedding processional or even the wedding reception, you could have harps, flutes, and a violin. These instruments have a beautiful, light and airy sound, often associated with spring vibes.

Spring Themed Food

A nice spread of fresh vegetables is a great option for serving to wedding guests. Light cakes and desserts are also a great option to have on the table. Consider serving cupcakes with pastel colored icing – think light pinks, blues and greens.

Now go ahead, take these ideas for your springtime wedding and get out there and celebrate love!
