So, you’re ready to ask that long awaited question. You’re ready to ask your fiancé to marry you! It’s an exciting time in your relationship and you want to make the moment special. One thing you should keep in mind, however, is that if your boyfriend or girlfriend is interested in you as a life partner, it really doesn’t matter how awkward or random your proposal might be. Just be yourself and allow the proposal to be an extension of your personality. In this article we’ll help you brainstorm some fun and unique marriage proposal ideas.

1. Scavenger Hunt
Imagine one day you leave a note under your girlfriend’s pillow with a hint or a clue about a certain special location. Maybe it was your first date spot or where you had your first kiss. Leave different cute notes to lead to the final clue. When you get to the final spot – and she’s reading the final hint, you can get down on one knee.
2. Mob Proposal
Have your family and friends join you in serenading your partner with a love song. You could have one of your friends blindfold her in the hallway, while you and the rest wait in the living room. When she walks in you can ask her to take off her blindfold to see you kneeling in front of her.

Make a fun video of you doing your favorite activities or talking about what your relationship has meant to you. You can project it on to your TV at home, and watch it together with a glass of wine. There’s something incredibly romantic about making your proposal under the stars. Find a beautiful open field, away from any light obstruction. Bring blankets, candles, and maybe even a thermos of warm mulled wine. Looking up at the stars can inspire your deepest longings and desires.
